datafast adsl dsl Australia

Hello Datafast,

Just an update on how we're doing. I have an ADSL account that started 18 Nov, dft0xxx, contact number xxxx xxx xxx.

New news-
11 Feb 9AM - I still can't log in to DSL. All the people I know who use BigPond DSL have a fine connection. You've lost me as a customer. I'm moving as soon as I can find a replacement.

Regards,
Brad

Old news-
10 feb 2:10 PM - went to test my login (problem below) but can't. There is no sync so cannot connect to dsl. This is really starting to get annoying.
10 feb 1:13 PM - Cannot log in to DSL. The initial connection to your service succeeds but hangs at login with message "Verifing user name and password". I have made no changes to my settings since I last logged on a couple hours ago. Synch good. Good connection and login to a dialup account.
8 Feb 7:30 AM - ADSL dead. When I connect a few packets go through and then it is dead. I can dial into your dialup service fine. tracerouts go maybe one hop and then die. etc etc
29 Jan to 7 Feb - Seems like I lose synch at least once a day for brief periods. Can we sort this out and determine if it might be my 'modem' or will Telstra fess up and say their equipment is the problem.
28 Jan 12:05 PM - Can't connect again, lost synch this time.
28 Jan 11:20 - Can't connect, good synch, your server appears to reject my password. Haven't changed password in weeks.
17 Jan - New password working now.
17 Jan - Lost synch at about 10:25 for about 3 minutes.
Over one month ago I requested that you change my password to the one I requested on my application. It appears that still hasn't been done. Please change it.
1-15 January - Lost Synch briefly, so many times I have lost count. Usually 2 or more times per day.
27 Dec - Lost Synch briefly at least twice during the day.
24 Dec - Lost Synch at least twice during the day. The one at 7 PM lasted about 5 minutes.
18 Dec - Brief loss of sync at 9:34 AM
12 Dec - 9:50. Briefly could not get on DSL. Got "err 678' " the computer you...is not answering". Synch was good.
12 Dec - I tried to use your secure login link but after I put in the username and password I get 'page not found'.
11 Dec - 12:30 PM and 2:36 PM ADSL out briefly (no synch)
10 Dec - ADSL went down briefly at 8:27 PM and 8:50 PM (lost sync).
10 Dec - For at least the last couple weeks, I haven't been able to get this site to display
https://www.afbacreditcardservices.com
In Netscape I get a 'network error' and in IE I get something like 'this page cannot be displayed'.
When I dialup using BigPond, the site works perfectly in IE and Netscape.
I reported the problem to your helpdesk. I told them I also couldn't ping the site thru DSL but that was bogus because the site can't be pinged at all. The tech had me reset all my IE security settings etc. but the problem continues.
10 Dec - ADSL stopped briefly at 9:31, 10:32 and 12:01 PM AM (lost sync each time).
3 Dec - 8AM I called your help desk and they logged a job with Telstra. Dialin account OK now (no busy signal). checked at 8:40 and adsl not working. ADSL OK when I tested at 1040.
3 Dec - Couldn't connect to ADSL at 4:30 AM; got error 678. Modem looks OK (good sych light). When I tried your dialup, got a busy signal. I sent this through a Big Pond dialup account.
1 Dec - At about 2:50 PM I could not log in on ADSL or dialup using the exact same password that I used for the past several logins because it rejected my password. Your staff said your network was down.
30 Nov - At 6:58 AM I was disconnected and there was no synch light on the modem. Service was restored at 7 AM.
27 Nov - Same error as earlier today. At about 12:02 PM I could not log in to ADSL because it rejected my password (logging in to DF dialup account worked fine). I noticed the service was restored, I believe about 12:40PM.
27 Nov - Same error as yesterday. At about 1030AM I could not log in to ADSL because it rejected my password (logging in to DF dialup account worked fine). At 1040 adsl logged in OK.
26 Nov - Tried to log in, in the early afternoon and couldn't. I called and it apparently a problem with your equipment that was fixed after a while.
21 Nov - Please let me know how the telstra monitoring went. I know there were at least 2 outages not caused by me.
21 Nov - During the morning hours (somewhere between about 1:30AM and 8AM) there was an outage
23 Nov - Brief outage around 11:55 AM.
- An outage (no synch) from 1:52 PM lasting about 5 minutes.
but I don't know what time. I also disconnected the modem several times between approximately 10 PM and 1 AM.
20 Nov - Today you asked Telstra to monitor the connection for 24 hours. At 6:46PM the connection was lost (no synch). It came back up at 6:49PM.
20 Nov - when I got up at 6 AM the connection was dead again (no synch). It started working about 7:40 AM. It died again at 8:43 AM. It was working the next time I checked it at 10:45AM
19 Nov - my service was out (no synch) I believe for more than 4 hours. It has just returned to service (6:30PM). I reported it to you just after it happened but never heard from Telstra.
18 Nov the synch failed for about 1 hour after I had used the service for about 10 minutes. A Telstra rep came 19 Nov AM (after the service was again working) and tested everything and found everything fine.
18 Nov - I tried to use your dialin service during the outage but it apparently wasn't set up. It is working fine now.
When your modem arrived, there were no files to get PPPoE working on my Win 98 computer.
It took almost 2 months after I signed up, for the service to get started.
